That's right, folks. A networking opportunity for local musicians to gather, have a couple drinks, meet other fellow musicians, chit-chat, and strengthen Boston's local music scene. Of course, this is nothing new to Boston. The Rock 'n' Roll Social has been uniting local musicians for nearly a decade with great success. Now, there's another opportunity.
So here's the rundown:
The Boston Local Music Meet Up takes place on the final Tuesday of each month at Central Square's All Asia Cafe from 9pm 'til last call. Bring your business cards, stickers, music, and, of course, your livers.

Garrity—who you all may know as
the host of All Asia's Open Mic Night as well as the guitar-slingin'
singer of old-timey punk outfit OTP—founded the Meet-Up. Not to
compete with the already well-established Rock 'n' Roll Social, his goal is to
offer an alternative for musicians on the other side of the river. A casual no-pressure atmosphere where musicians can shoot the shit over a couple beers, listen to some home-grown local tunes, and feel more like we're all a part of something bigger. Part of a scene. Lord knows,
we local musicians and artists can use all the opportunities like these that we can
get.
Don't worry, there won't be any cranked-to-eleven performances from raucous rock bands where you hafta scream in each others' ears just to be heard. No, just the sweet sounds of a Boston Local Music Playlist in the background.
If you fancy yourself a musician, artist, writer, photographer, then this the place for you.
THE NEXT MUSIC MEET-UP IS THIS TUESDAY, 9/25. SHOW UP, CAUSE A SCENE. I KNOW I WILL!
