For her April installment of the Bistro Busk, Carmelita proudly presents:

In addition to winning the 2011 Boston Music Award for Best R&B/Soul/Urban Contemporary Artist of the Year, Shea was hand-picked by Queen Latifah as one of the winners of CoverGirl's Ignite Your Persona talent search. With the Boston Globe calling Shea "the Boston artist most likely to make an impact on the national stage this year “ and the Boston Herald describing her unique sound as a "blend of hip-hop, r&b, jazz, funk and rock that leaves her virtually peerless in the urban-music world”, you don’t want to miss the chance to catch this intimate, acoustic performance.

Lovewhip, the Jamaica Plain based electro-group kicks off the night. You won’t regret taking advantage of this rare opportunity to see Boston’s greatest electro-band perform their infectious dance songs acoustically.

As always, there's no cover for these monthly all-ages shows, but there will be an open guitar case so you can contribute what you wish.

Doors are at 7 and the music begins at 8pm
